What CreamAPI does is rewrite the steamapi.dll so that it instead goes like this.Game: Yo Steam, I'm starting up, what DLC is neededCreamAPI: Hehehe, all of these are checked hereGame: Cool, I don't have those files though, so I need to get an updateSo you need the physical files to access it.
It queries this by checking the steamapi.dll. The game will query steam and ask for the installed DLC. Usually, to prevent piracy, developers make their DLC required from Steam. The way that DLC works in Steam is something like this.Game: Hey, I'm starting up, what files are needed here?Steam: Well this person has this DLC, do you have that?Game: Oh yeah, I do, I'll unlock that for them, thanksSome games have their DLC already built into the game, which then CreamAPI is the only thing needed. language = german Enable/disable automatic DLC unlock. Steam Application ID (= 268500 Force the usage of specific language. Enjoy:)The creamAPI config, which I, Nativedavid33, personally made, is as follows. If you did everything correctly game should launch. Launch the game from steam library, in Launcher there should be switcher between base game and the new DLC, press it and Launch. Download CreamApi and apply it into folders: XCOM 2BinariesWin32XCOM 2BinariesWin64XCOM 2XCom2-WarOfTheChosenBinariesWin64(One of these did the trick, didnt test which one, also content of creamapi is in spoiler). If you did this correctly you should have this folder hiearchy steamappscommonXCOM 2XCom2-WarOfTheChosen. Copy content of folder XXX to the XCOM2 folder in steamapps/common and overwrite everything. DO NOT TICK Copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir!. I have personally unticked Create start menu folder and ticked Do not create uninstaller and do not write any specifics system info for convience3b.

Extract (if you have to), mount ISO and install War of the Chosen to folder XXX3a. Download War of the Chosen (I have used Codex release in RARs with ISO from IGG links).
